Three volumes, octavo, volumes 1 and 2 1833, volume 3 1834, halk brown leather, brown cloth covered boards, wear to edges and spines, decoration to spines of volumes 2 and 3 identical and with darkened patches where labels may have been removed, no indication of library usage, all edges gilt, volume 1… marbled end papers with book plate (Hugh Johnson) on front free end paper, moderate foxing, 41 plates as called for, not paginated, 327 pages; volume 2, plain end papers, book plate (John Brown) on front end paper, split in top fore edge if spine, splitting between front end papers reinforced with acid free tape, moderate foxing, 42 plates as called for, plates protected by a blank leaf, unpaginated, 308 pages; volume 3: plain end papers, book plate removed from front end paper, splitting between end papers binding holding and reinforced with acid free tape, moderate foxing, 42 plates as called for, plates protected by a blank leaf, unpaginated 322 pages.
