Despite the claim that there was 'probably no other trade in which the amalgamation of a number of businesses presents greater financial advantages', the 'reduction of the capital of the Company' was announced in the London Gazette, 2 July 1907, due to 'overvaluation of capital assets at the time they were acquired by the Company, and the subsequent depreciation in value'. Scarce: no record of any material relating to the company on COPAC.

First edition, Octavo. xii, 207 pp with folding map of the yacht's route (split to one fold line). Numerous textual halftone illustrations. Contemporary red roan over green cloth, gilt spine lettering, floral endpapers. Both joints starting at top and bottom but holding strong, a few small drops of spilled ink on pp. 142-43 and this note on the half-title - ?Lastlotan Library [?], 1893." Overall, a clean and complete copy in a rather dull contemporary binding.Two of the idle rich decide to go yachting to Holland. "The book, however, may be of some use to those who wish to take a similar cruise. The true virtue of it lies in the appendix, which contains a variety of useful information as to boats, cooking apparatus, &c., on which subjects the Hon. Reginald Brougham appears to be an authority.? (The Academy, 1891).
