A fine, tight, unmarked, unblemished copy with no book plates, in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. A total of1500 copies were published this being #509. Originally published in 1892. Calabazas existed and was real. This book, of course, is fiction. The names of the people in most part and the specific incidents recorded are the products of Mr. Brown's imagination, but old timers will attest to the fact that none of the chapters are exaggerations of the time and place. The Calabazas Land and Mining Company really existed. The Calabazas, Tucson and Northwestern Rail Road never matured beyond the dream stage. Howes B845 aa, Six-Guns #296. COLLECTOR QUALITY.
