Condition: Very Good. Folded case enclosure bound in pale bronze silk with white titling and embossed gold lion emblem to front board. Adhered inside to verso of front board is 3 pp folded pamphlet with "Directions for Dyeing" on front and "Table Showing the Reduction of Indigo and Helindone Colours" inside. Adhered to rear board verso is an accordion-fold 10-panel chart with 112 mounted yarn samples in a variety of bright colors. Front panel shows black and white illustration of Farbwerke Vorm. Meister Lucius & Bruning, Hoechst am Main, producers of these textile dyes. Verso of all panels blank. Light soiling and fading to some leaves at edges, faint dampstaining to cloth of front board, otherwise clean and sound with all samples present and in excellent condition.

ORIGINAL-DOKUMENT (1 S. 4 to, Randlochung links) mit Ort, Datum, 2 eigenhändigen Unterschriften (Sugleh/Ties ?) für die US Administration signiert Frankfurt-Höchst, 12.VII.1952 - BESCHEINIGUNG / ZEUGNIS für Gerhard Pawellek in Phillipsburg-Siedlung (Baden) ausführlich über seine Tätigkeit in der Coloristischen Abteilung, Anwendung von Farbstoffen und Textilhilfsmitteln auf Wolle, Hasen- und Kaninhaar sowie Hutfilzen, die dafür in Betracht kommenden Farbstoffe : Säurefarbstoffe, Chromkomplexfarbstoffe, Reizen- und Nachchromierungsfarbstoffe, Metachromfarbstoffe und Helindonfarbstoffe. (Hier besonders interessant der seltene Briefkopf : Nach Liquidation der IG-Farben 1952 lautete der neue Firmenname ? Farbwerke Hoechst AG vorm. Meister, Lucius & Brüning ? und als kreisförmiges Logo wurde erstmals die symbolische Darstellung der Brücke verwendet (Nirosan). Bereits 1947 gestaltete der Frankfurter Dozent Richard Lisker für den Konzern ein Logo aus Turm und Brücke , einer stilisierten Darstellung des heute denkmalgeschützten Behrens-Baus ,Dieser Entwurf mit mittenzentrierter Darstellung von Brücke und Turm wurde 1951 vom Frankfurter Graphiker Rober Smago überarbeitet.Der Turm rückte nunmehr an die linke Seite, während die Brücke nach rechts anstieg. Dieses endgültige Symbol wurde 1952 markenrechtlich geschützt.).
