"Sees the eloquent form, the strong line, the bold shadow, the delicate detail, the stark contrast of line and curve. He sees the symmetry, measure, and balance of form in the ordinary things around us. He has a vision that is a delight to the eye and a satisfaction to the mind" (George A. Lane). Born in Lithuania, Algimantas Kezys came to the United States as a young man, became a Jesuit priest, and then travelled all over the world again as a photographer. His work is in the Permanent Collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh, among other major venues. This landmark collection has a companion volume called "Form And Content". Algimantas Kezys died on February 23, 2015 at the age of 87, after a life lived to the fullest.
