Cloth. Condition: Near Fine/Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good/Near Fine. 1st Edition. 8vo., xvii (2) 482pp. Beautiful First Edition bound in bright blue cloth with titles stamped in gilt on spine and front board. Decorative palm tree stamped in green on front board. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear save some gentle bumping to the spine ends but quite minor, Fresh and bright and remarkably well-preserved. Very attractive and quite uncommon unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket, has some fairly mild edge-wear and light soiling. But quite clean with no chipping or tears. A sharp example of an early 20th century wrapper. A detailed account of the author's travels to several countries in Central and South America. A simply gorgeous collectable copy and quite scarce in such high-grade condition and with dust-jacket.
