A teacher falls ill with measles just as he arrives at summer camp with his charges. The group is ejected from the camp site on account of the measles, and so a tour of the Roussillon begins, with the group moving to a new campsite every day in an effort to keep the measles outbreak secret. A light-hearted story of evading quarantine, with occasional episodes of fishing and poaching. .
