DJ is quite tattered, with heavy wear and chipping to the edges. The jacket is also scuffed and soiled. The illustrated paper covered boards underneath have always been protected by the DJ but there is still bumps/wear to the edges and both spine tips are frayed with the lower portion missing the extreme edge. Edges of the exterior also darkened. The interior binding is good, no hinge issues found. Both pastedowns and opposite end pages are spotted and foxed, particularly in the gutters. Previous owner name and information written in crayon on the free front end page. The pages show reading wear but remain supple with an unobstructed text and illustrations that remain primarily clean and bright. A copy which remains in above average reading condition.…
