Oblong 8vo. (Book: 190 x 297 mm) + 4to. (Stickers: 300 x 282 mm). in Folio. (410 x 266 mm). Printed book / catalogue ('Art Wall Sticker: Collection 2001') with text in English and French on a variety of different paper stock with illustration throughout in colour and monochrome depicting the various 'Art Wall Sticker' works by different artists available (Buren's contribution is on pp. 12 / 13 with text on pp. 55 / 79) with explanatory text, order forms and so on; 20 leaves of unused stickers ('White / Transparent / White' and 'Transparent / White / Transparent') for Buren's work are also included together with bilingual assembly instructions, a title sticker and the signed 'Certificat d'Authenticité'. Loose as issued in original publisher's black card portfolio, printed title labels to front cover and spine, publisher details and vignette in blind to front cover. Daniel Buren's 'Art Wall Sticker' multiple enabling the creation of a unique Buren work. From the edition limited by time (730 days), signed in capitals and numbered by Buren to the 'certificat d'authenticité'. The innovative 'Art Wall Sticker' catalogue proposed a series of works - the catalogue lists those by 20 individuals - that could be ordered through the post or from a website to be created in situ by the person who made the order. Each work would then, created in accordance with the instructions, be unique. The work presented here, by Daniel Buren, presents a series of vinyl stickers to be arranged in a grid pattern on a painted wall that would then be documented photographically by its creator and the images and details returned to 'Art Wall Sticker'. 'The artwork is about positioning on a wall a series of patterns in a sticker form on the indicated locations. To do this, one firstly paints the entire wall X in a colour Y, left to the choice of the collector. (All colours are authorised, including white) . It is . understood that each piece, once painted, drawn and the patterns stuck, is an original artwork, different from any other. The result of this 'mecanism' [sic] of unlimited edition, shall produce a unique work of art each time.' (From Buren's explanatory text).

Condition: Excellent. Daniel Buren (illustrator). Each volume is composed of plates printed offset with stripes of the same color, on one side. The same color for each volume, printed deeper and deeper, plate after plate. Vol. I: Blue: 32 plates; Vol. II: Yellow: 39 plates; Vol. III: Black: 25 plates; Vol. IV: Orange: 29 plates; Vol. V: Red: 26 plates; Vol. VI: Green: 31 plates; Vol. VII: Violet: 33 plates. Artestudio, Macerata, Italy, 1972. Edition of 100 + 10 (A.P.) unnumbered copies. Reference in the artist's work inventory: C 64. Catalogue of the Documenta 5, Kassel, 1972: 17-30. A. Moeglin-Delcroix, Livres d'artistes, l'invention d'un genre, 1997, n°255, p. 28. Art-Rite #14, 1976, p. 48: "At the other end of the scale of signed and numbered editions which could be listed as books is Buren's Passages. It is seven large bound volumes in a slipcase, all beautifully made. Each volume is a different color and the first page of each has been printed, or passed through the press once. The second pages have been passed through twice, and so forth, until at the end of the volume, the color saturation on the stripes is quite intense. At the start of the book the colors are extremely weak - barely distinguishable from the white of the page between the stripes. In a completely different spirit, this is a work which has been worked out very thoughtfully and with great finesse".

Kein Einband. Condition: Sehr gut. This rare and visually striking exhibition poster was produced for Daniel Burens solo show " Farbige und vielfache Eindrücke " at Neues Museum Weserburg Bremen, 2000 *** Sheet size : 84 x 59.5 cm *** Signed in blue ink below the exhibition date - center low *** Uniquely, this poster is hand-signed by Daniel Buren, which is particularly rare given the artist s consistent conceptual choice to abstain from signing his artworks *** This signature adds both value and personal relevance to the piece, making it an exceptional collector s item for admirers of Buren s radical minimalism and institutional critique. *** Known for his iconic use of vertical stripes and spatial interventions, Buren presents a bold composition in this poster using his signature visual vocabulary precise stripes, geometric balance, and color-field contrasts *** Daniel Buren (born 1938, Boulogne-Billancourt, France) is one of France s most important conceptual artists. Since the 1960s, Buren has used 8.7 cm-wide vertical stripes as a visual tool to mark space, challenging traditional ideas of authorship, context, and the art object. His works often respond directly to the architectural environment, making site-specific installations in museums, public buildings, and urban settings around the world. *** Buren represented France at the Venice Biennale in 1986 and has exhibited at major institutions including Centre Pompidou, Guggenheim Museum, and Palais Royal in Paris, where his famous installation Les Deux Plateaux (1986) remains a landmark. This signed poster represents both his graphic rigor and conceptual innovation. ****** SHIPPING: Worldwide shipping available *** CONDITION: in very good condition ***. Signatur des Verfassers.

DANIEL BUREN - A Unique Opportunity for Collectors *** Silkscreen by Daniel Buren - 1990. *** Numbered on the reverse *** Stamped with Buren on the reverse *** Number and stamp visible through the Plexiglas window on the back *** Not signed as Buren does not use signatures in his works *** Professionally framed in exclusive wooden frame with PLEXIGLAS Optical HC, which is scratch-resistant and UV-protected. As with all of his works, this piece is not signed, staying true to Buren s artistic philosophy. However, it is numbered and stamped on the reverse with the official Buren stamp, ensuring authenticity * The artwork is presented in a custom handmade wooden frame, featuring high-quality Plexiglas® Optical HC, which enhances the visual clarity and protects the delicate print. The framed dimensions are approximately 70 x 55 cm, with visible folds that add to its unique character * Daniel Buren (b. 1938, Boulogne-Billancourt, France) is one of the most influential conceptual artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. He is internationally renowned for his distinctive use of vertical stripes, usually 8.7 cm wide, which have become a signature element of his practice. Rejecting traditional notions of painting and authorship, Buren uses these stripes as a "visual tool" to reveal and question the context in which the artwork existswhether architectural, social, or institutional. His work often blurs the boundaries between art and its environment, intervening directly in public and architectural spaces with site-specific installations. One of his most iconic works is Les Deux Plateaux (1986), a large-scale sculptural installation in the courtyard of the Palais Royal in Paris. Throughout his career, Buren has challenged the art world's conventions, advocating for transparency, context, and minimal visual vocabulary. Buren represented France at the Venice Biennale in 1986, where he won the Golden Lion. His works are included in major international museum collections, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Tate Modern in London. His practice continues to influence generations of artists working across installation, conceptual art, and institutional critique. This 1990 silkscreen is a compelling embodiment of Buren's philosophy: a precise balance of simplicity and conceptual depth, where the absence of a signature reinforces the work's autonomy and its direct relationship to the viewer. ***** SHIPPING: Worldwide shipping available *** CONDITION: in very good condition *****.
