Louis Salleron (1905-1989) était un intellectuel catholique, qui fut notamment professeur d'économie politique à L'Institut Catholique de Paris. Dans l'équipe de rédaction, on distingue en particulier le démographe Alfred Sauvy (1898-1990), qui avait écrit son ouvrage "Richesse et population" trois ans plus tôt, et qui avait été nommé par De Gaulle directeur de l'Institut National d'Etudes Démographiques (INED), à sa fondation en octobre 1945.
