Hardcover. Condition: Fine. First edition; limited to 300 copies (unnumbered) . SIGNED & INSCRIBED by the author Philippe Buron Pilatre (greatgrand nephew of Jean-Fran+ºois Pil+ótre de Rozier, who was the pilot for the Montgolfier brothers) . Original boards, oblong 12 x 10 inches, 136 pp, profusely illustrated with color photographs by Philippe Maille, Alain Even, Michel Pira, Pascal Bodez, Luc Bertau members of the Club aerostatique de Metz, text in French (en francais) , with a brief concluding essay by Philippe Buron Pilatre in English. Hardcover, fine in near fine dustjacket. Dustjacket a bit rubbed along edges and shelf scuffed; book itself has upper corners lightly bumped, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, and never read. Commemorative book issued in the conjunction with an international hot air balloon festival held in Lorraine, France, which had almost 1000 pilots from 31 countries. Oversized.
