Grant, Printer , Bookseller and Stationer, 6 Castle Street, HAY', '. (Presumably "sold by H R Grant"). No Date - but from the photos, etc, I am fairly sure this was an early Edwardian publication - c. 1905/10? . The Gilt is a little dulled. A Pictorial Advert for 'Crown Hotel', Hay, is on the rear cover. There is a little light wear to the covers with a few very light spots to the front cover (minor) , Rusty staples, and a tiny sliver of the red colour from the covers has left a tiny trace to the very edge of the first and last pages in a couple of places, o/w a Near VG copy. Narrow small 12mo. 48pp. Internally VG. Numerous sepia photo illustrations and pictorial adverts for local shops/businesses, including The Castle Temperance Hotel, Castle Street, Hay . Blue Boar Hotel - Thos. Turner Posting Master; W. Giles, Furnishing Ironmonger, Hay, etc, etc. A single page 'Motoring and Cycling Map of the Hay district', with the 'letterpress' giving the usual local historical and useful information that you would expect to find in a 'pocket' guide book, including " Fares from London and Birmingham = Third Class Single 13s 8pence halfpenny", etc. A Charming period piece and pretty scarce.
