Jakob Klesius, häufiger "Clesius", wurde 1782 in Trier mit der Dissertation "De malo hypochondriaco litteratorum" promoviert und war Arzt in Koblenz. Eine 1821 in Neuwied erschienene Abhandlung über das Johanniswürmchen scheint seine letzte Schrift gewesen zu sein. Die üblichen, auf Meusel zurückgehenden Lebensdaten "1769-1792" sind schon wegen der Erscheinungsjahre des vorliegenden Werks unsinnig. - Unbeschnitten.
