The chief pleasure of the book is the nine maps (pranchas) that record the stages of journey, and two maps (plantas) that are fold-outs in color of Rio and Sao Paulo in 1822. 184 pages, with period illustrations, Fontes Bibliograficas, Fontes Cartograficas, and Indice Onomastico e Toponomico; plus xxii pages prefatory matter, including Frontispiece.
