La Guerra de los Tres Años, también conocida como Guerra de Reforma, fue una guerra civil que aconteció en México del año de 1858 al 10 de enero de 1861. Por un tiempo, los liberales y conservadores tuvieron gobiernos paralelos, con la sede del gobierno conservador en la Ciudad de México y los liberales en Veracruz; con el transcurso de los años, la guerra se hizo más sangrienta y polarizó a la gente en la nación. La guerra terminó con la derrota definitiva de los conservadores en la batalla de Calpulalpan, Estado de México,? en 1861, y con Benito Juárez instalando su administración en la Ciudad de México. Este libro narra el momento político y los hechos sucedidos en el Estado de Jalisco durante el sangriento trienio. Es un libro muy bien documentado.
