(10791) Opera anonima e di autore non identificato, con titolo simile a quella di Antoine Court apparsa nel 1760, ma da non confondere con essa. L'autore, chiaramente simpatizzante dei "Camisards", ricostruisce in modo avvincente la storia, alquanto romanzesca, della celebre rivolta dei Camisards, ovvero degli Ugonotti più irriducibili, asserragliatisi nelle regioni di montagna delle Cevennes, tra le fonti della Loira e la regione del Languedoc; la rivolta insanguinò la regione nei primi anni del XVIII secolo, i Camisards tennero in scacco le truppe regie con vere e proprie azioni di guerriglia, ed essa fu presa poi come modello di una delle prime esperienze di guerra irregolare contro eserciti soverchianti (furono impiegati fino a 20.000 soldati delle truppe regie contro di loro). La rivolta, che aveva covato sotto le ceneri tra i calvinisti francesi dopo la revoca dell'editto di Nantes (1684), esplose nel 1701-2, infiammò la regione, e, dopo un tentativo fallito di portarvi soccorso da parte delle navi inglesi nel 1710, fu sedata definitivamente solo nel 1714, entrando nella leggenda letteraria, come lotta per la libertà di coscienza.
