From the collection of Wayne Prescott Suttles, renowned anthropologist, scholar, and linguist regarding many Pacific cultures, and especially the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast Salish people. Laid in are 2 pieces of ephemera: 1) A warm handwritten letter from Ralph Maud to Dr. Suttles. Maud was a Canadian literary scholar. He was a professor at English at Simon Fraser University and was regarded as an expert on the work of poets Dylan Thomas and Charles Olson. 2) A reading list for an upcoming lecture series by Dr. Maud.
