Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Place (classified): United States Army Forces Western Pacific Hq Sp Trps, 12 September 1945. A Restricted Promotions List, very late in the war (which had in fact officially ended 10 days prior). 8 1/2" x 11, four mimeographed leaves (i.e., 8 pages, last page blank), corner-stapled. Age-toned, front bottom left corner chip (see scan), blue-penciled name "Kennedy" on first page, center-folded with short closed tear at right of fold; overall, Very Good or a bit better. A lengthy list of what are described as "temporary promotions", giving names, promotion, current rank, and serial numbers. The first person on this long list is a Tec 4 Dorothy R. Kennedy, being promoted to Staff Sergeant; given the "Kennedy" scrawled at top, this may have been her copy. No location of the unit is given, as was the common practice even this late in the war, but it was the Special Troops for the United States Army Western Pacific, and was likely somewhere in the Philippines. Irreplaceable military ephemera. L-milit.
