    Full-Leather. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. By Captain Hinde of the Royal Regiment of Foresters, (Light-Dragoons.) Illustrated with Copper Plates. Eighteenth century cavalry manual. Bound in full dark brown calf with a red leather title label with gilt lettering. Blind ruled spine bands. V[vi-xiv][1]2-562 pages. With an engraved frontispiece plate entitled : "Light troop", with one further engraved plate "Light Dragoon" at page 150. With a foldout plan of a light dragoon six troop regimental encampment, and numerous letterpress tables and charts one of which is folding. There are also a few smaller engravings on the text pages namely : bugle horn, saddle, double baggage-straps, cloak and baggage ensemble. The book has been respined with new headbands and title label, retaining the original boards, and endpapers. A sympathetic restoration, making for a sound and solid binding, and a very useable copy. The volume bears the armorial bookplate of James C. Dewar of vegry, on the front pastedown, a brief Xmas inscription dated 1913 on the front free endpaper, and another name in ink at the top of the title page. Inside all in good order with some browning to the page edges and the first pages, and very occasional marks on some few pages, mostly all quite clean throughout.5.25 X 8.4 inches.
