First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good +. 1st Edition. Looks like the spine has been replaced. (Gilt on the spine fresh and bright, whereas gilt on the front cover is duller and a little rubbed. Also, endpapers and fly leaves look modern. In any case, the repairs have been expertly done.) Quite a bit of foxing throughout. All 16 illustrations on glossy paper are present in very good condition. Slight bumping to the corners and a little rubbing and a couple of small imperfections on the cover. See scans. Edges are age-discoloured, most noticeable on top edges. Overall a nice copy of this rare first edition. 252 pages.
