Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Original paper cut-out Captain Marvel with all ski pieces (uncut). Housed in original illustrated envelope. While often overlooked, Captain Marvel Jr. is the product of a WWII era fight between Captain Marvel and Hitler's champion fighter, Captain Nazi. As an innocent bystander to the fight, Captain Marvel saves a young boy named Freddy Freeman only to learn the only way he will walk again is if he receives powers from Captain Marvel, which he gladly shares. Hence, the character known as Captain Marvel Jr. was actually born out of the struggle between good and evil in WWII America. Dr. Wertham may have had his issues with the comics, but this character was part of the WWII American propaganda effort that reflected the best of what comics could do (IMO). Light wear to corners. A very sharp example overall.
