With good signed handwritten letter attached with a paper clip and written on headed notepaper from Studio One Two Three, 154 West 57th Street, New York NY 10019 from Rodica Prato to Daniel (an unknown recipient) consisting of over 50 words in French in which she says she thought he might be amused by the little stories that she has illustrated. More like fables, the stories describe a young man who seeks youth without age and life without death, Talu who is supposed to be selling his wares but is struck dumb at the sight of the princess and a man sitting by a pond who decides to marry a tortoise amongst others. Rodica Prato was born in Romania. She has lived in both Paris and New York and has illustrated cook books, an atlas, works by Garrison Keillor, and most recently she was commissioned by The White House Historical Association to draw large detailed illustrations of The White House and its gardens.
