Two inch closed tears at the top and bottom left corners of the front cover next to the spine. Four inch closed tear to the bottom right corner of the rear cover next to the spine. Quite heavy spotting to the bottom of the first page and browning and spotting to the first and last few pages. A few light stains and marks to the pages with a few edge tears and the pages are browned but are otherwise generally unmarked. Illustrations at the beginning of each story. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.

No Jacket. 18 x 8 x 1 1/4 inches. 12 inch wooden ruler with black feather, tied together with red twine and including a small amount of sand loosely laid on the bottom of the frame. mounted on white mat board in box frame of black oak. Edition of 999 numbered copies, signed by Beam on the ruler and on the lower right corner of the backing. This multiple was produced in conjunction with the exhibition Buried Images May 18 - June 11, 1995 held at Lake Galleries, Toronto. The work forms part of a series derived from a 1992 action called Burying the Ruler, in which the artist ritually buries a ruler in sand. Carl Beam is a significant Native Artist and one of the most important Conceptual Artists working in Canada. This was the first time that the artist produced a work of this nature.
