Condition: Good+. 2nd. Binding solidly holding together but well worn at spine and corners. Corners are rounded; spine is worn with majority of leather and design chipping away - title and author still mostly visible. Raised bands visible. Edges in red. Ribbon bookmark present. Pages are mostly clean and clear with only sporadic and minimal browing and very light foxing on a few pages. Christian Gottlieb Schmieder, was a printer who reprinted works from other areas of Germany much to the annoyance of the original publishers. This book is part of his, Collection of the Best German Prosaic Writers and Poets. These books were intended to be cheaper and more broadly available but continued to be controversial.
