Hohman graduated as an MD in Bamberg zúnder Doellinger in 1801, was trained under J.P. frank in Vienna. Later he was court physician an Hildburghausen and medical superintendant of the lunattic asylum there. Carl Hohmann was profilic writer. The present monograph, his psychiatric main work, dealing aminly with mental hygiene and including main references to Schubert, Ennemoser, Heinroth, Jacobi, Pibnel, Esquirol, etc. - cf.
