California, 1980s approx.) was an American representational painter and illustrator trained at the Chouinard Art Institute. Known for his luminous landscapes of the Midwest and Pacific coast, Stricker's work blended Old Master tonal structure with 20th-century color sensibility and appeared in numerous Walter Foster instructional books.
