Signed first hardback edition of 'The Queen of K-Town: A Calcutta Romance' by Eugene Carpentiere. Signed in black fountain pen to dedication page. Bound in original silver boards with black lettering to spine and front cover. Housed in art deco style pictorial dust jacket. Previous owners name to f.e.p, Three small worm-holes running through last quarter of text block. Moderate browning and quite heavy foxing and marking to edges. Binding lightly cocked and boards marked and bumped. Also some creasing to a few pahe corners. Dust jacket in poor condition with 3 x 6cm chip to top left corner of front cover and several otherwise smaller chips, closed tears, creases and marks. Binding strong. Dust jacket protected with removable mylar cover. This volume is in worn condition, but is very rare with the only record being at Ann Arbor. Signed by Author.
