Tight hardcover in fair condition. 8vo. 72pp. plus 4 advertising pages of Rand McNally Other Popular Juveniles in the back. Darkish red woven boards & backstrip with large color paste-on with illustration of Paddy-Paws outlined with beige frame that covers the front board & black lettering on the backstrip. Lots of color and black & white illustrations by Warner Carr throughout the book including 12 Full-Page Color Illustrations. The book is very tight. The boards have some wear & edgewear with bumped corners that have fraying. The Paddy-Paws paste-on is bright & colorful with a little wear. The backstrip has fading & edgewear on the top & bottom - the black lettering is very bright. The previous owner glued a large colorful cardboard cut-out illustration of a dressed up chick pulling a wagon full of eggs onto the inside of the cover which has lightly transferred to the ffep. The endpapers have hinge cracks with no loose pages. The leaves are clean with no markings. Page 36-37 has shadowing where a newspaper photo had been left in the book. Ships within 24 hours.
