In excellent condition, the binding is scuffed a little at the hinges, especially at the front. Cracked inside at the front gutter with writing on the title page. Great illustrations with a Frontispiece of the pope along with several publishers' decorations throughout the text at the end of various chapters as well as a chapter head of a young man walking, and a wonderful last hurrah of an engraving as chapter end.
