Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Gentry. No. 22, Spring 1957. Sidney Carroll, editor. New York: Reporter Publications, 1957. Oversized illustrated magazine in original pictorial wrappers, approximately 9 x 12 inches. The standout here is Chandler Brossard's contribution on Sugar Ray Robinson, together with the striking Robinson photograph printed on heavier paper. A particularly appealing issue if you collect boxing, literary journalism, or photography. Gentry had room for fine photography, modern art, prizefighters, popular music, and adventurous design. Edward Weston, W. Eugene Smith, and Elvis Presley also feature in this issue. Changes of paper and texture, illustration, photography, and typography make the magazine itself a pleasure to handle and browse. Very good in illustrated wrappers, with age toning, rubbing, and minor edge and corner wear. Interior pages shown on the website are clean and intact. Please examine the photographs for the actual copy and its condition. I'll pack it carefully so the magazine and its heavier-paper photograph arrive safely. …
