First Edition. 1945 FIRST EDITION with "First Edition" printed on the copyright page (reprints don't have "First Edition" printed on copyright page). Original navy cloth with gilt lettering spine. The book has slight bump lower outside front corner tip otherwise is quite nice: clean, no fading, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, solid binding. The original dust jacket has 4cm loss at base of spine, smaller lost at top of spine, fading to spine, original printed price present on flap corner. The book measures 203mm tall x 140mm, and has 236 pages, 16 b/w photo plates. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
