Marca tipografica del Blado al verso dell'ultimo foglio. Firma di appartenenza coeva anticamente cancellata alla prima carta. Una leggera gora angolare in alto ai primi 20 fogli; altra lieve gora in basso agli ultimi 4 fogli, per il resto esemplare ampio di margini e pulito in legatura moderna tutta pelle nera con grandi decorazioni a placca e stemma nobiliare impressi a secco ai piatti. Titolo oro al dorso a nervi e manoscritto anticamente al taglio di piede. Unica edizione, estremamente rara, non si trovano tracce in aste o in rete negli ultimi anni di opere del C. E' la prima edizione di questa monografia ove Castaldi parla in chiave storica e contemporanea del ruolo degli Imperatori, sostenendo tra l'altro giuridicamente le pretese imperiali di Carlo V in Italia. Il giurista perugino (morto nel 1564) insegnà a Bologna e Perugia; su di lui si hanno solo notizie frammentarie che ad esempio si ritrovano in VERMIGLIOLI Gian-Battista: Biografia degli scrittori perugini e notizie delle opere loro, Perugia, Tipografia di Francesco Baduel, 1828-1829, vol. 1, pp. XII, 398; vol. 2, pp. VIII, 366 che ci ricorda che fu maestro del pià noto Marcantonio Eugeni. La sua lapide nella chiesa di San Francesco al Monte fu incredibilmente rimossa, insieme a quella di altri illustri perugini, durante lavori di rimaneggiamento della chiesa nell'Ottocento.
