[OREGON]. 9? x 4? in tan printed wrappers with decorative design on front cover and a map of western Oregon and Washington on the back cover, printed in red ink. 32pp. Illustrations. Foreword. "The object of this booklet is to present to the contemplating settler the resources, possibilities and advantages of Polk county, Oregon, one of the eight Willamette valley counties, in concise and comprehensive style, eliminating all flowery embellishments and dealing wholly with facts and figures." Text sections, illustrated, include information on the Willamette Valley; Polk County; the prune industry; apples; cherries; pears; hops; dairying; goats and mohair; sheep and wool; lumber industry; bees; education; sportsman's paradise; and the towns of Dallas, Independence, Falls City, and Monmouth; along with general information and compiler's notes. A great descriptive piece regarding this county and its agricultural and logging heritage. Center pages 15-18 loose from the staples. Small spot at lower left of the front cover and with light wear to the extremities. Very good. Scarce.
