Memoirs of the mother of one of the most remarkable families of 20th Century Australia, a unique account of life in an Australian-Scottish family at the turn of the century. Catherine's son Alastair contributes a foreword, and has inscribed this copy to a Sydney couple, dated 12.2.92. Other children in the family include Charles Mackerras, the c conductor, Colin Mackerras, an academic, and Malcolm Mackerras, a political analyst.
