Small nicks to right margins of the first 2 leaves. A small tear to right margins of leaves, not affecting the text. Perrin's paper: pp. 1130-1134, 2 textillustr. leaves fragile due to the paper quality. First appearance of this importent paper in which Perrin gives an account of the experiment by which he showed thet the cathode discharge carried negative electric charges with it. A similar experiment was soon afterward carried (1897) out by J.J. Thomson leading to his discovery of the electron and its properties."Jean Perrin publishes a paper.
