Sherri Cavan was a Sociology Professor at San Francisco State University who died in 2016 and this manuscript was found in her home. Her 1972 work Hippies In The Haight is considered a classic study of The Counterculture, and this work is a companion piece focusing on the child rearing practices of Hippies who had moved to the Northern California Coast. Fascinating stuff!
