Unbound. Condition: Very Good. Small engraved portrait. 6 3/4" x 4". Some signs of age and has light signs of ink bleeding from other texts, very good or better. Engraved by Thomas Worlidge (1700-1766), painter and etcher, after Francis Kyte's 1740 portrait of Cave. Cave was an English publisher and in 1731 he founded the "Gentleman's Magazine," the first modern magazine in English. Cave gave Samuel Johnson his first regular literary employment when he printed Johnson's parliamentary reports, *Debates in the Senate of Magna Lilliputia,* in his periodical.
