Après une description des différentes étapes du traitement de l'information visuo-spatiale normal et pathologique, nous verrons qu'il existe chez le patient schizophrène une anomalie latéralisée se manifestant par un biais gauche accentué. Ce biais semble relativement indépendant de la perception, mais implique des processus attentionnels, représentationnels, voire moteurs-intentionnels. Dans l'ensemble, le profil des patients schizophrènes est qualitativement similaire à celui des patients héminégligents. Toutefois, ce profil paraît quantitativement plus proche de celui observé chez l'individu sain, et correspondrait donc à une accentuation de l'asymétrie hémisphérique naturelle. L'étude des corrélats neuro-anatomiques de la cognition visuo-spatiale soulève la question de l'intégrité fonctionnelle du cortex pariétal dans la schizophrénie. 260 pp. Französisch.
