In-folio oblungo album (44 x 32) cm (2) (carta bianca) (13) c. (di tavole compreso il frontespizio). Frontespizio con cornice: in alto Leone di S. Marco con libro aperto, in basso vedutina di gondola in bacino san Marco con il Palazzo Ducale di sfondo. Legatura editoriali in mezza tela.Bella acquarellatura d'epoca. Qualche fioritura almargine bianco di una veduta. Ogni tavola è separata dall'altra da carta veilina. Condizioni ottime. Le vedute sono: (frontespizio), Piazza S. Marco, S. Marco, S. Marco (interno), Il Molo, Riva degli Schiavoni, Canal Grande Chiesa della Salute, Canal Grande Palazzo Foscari, Ponte di Rialto, Canal Grande Palazzo Ca' D'Oro, Ponte dei Sospiri, L'arsenale, Ponte sulla Laguna. 19mo secolo.

Oblong folio 13x18 inches, original printed boards. Hand coloured lithographed title within decorative border (incorporating a view of Piazza S. Marco from the lagoon), and 12 hand-coloured lithographed views by Lefvre after Cecchini, Pividor and Viola, some heightened with gum arabic- EXCEPTIONALLY BRIGHT FRESH HAND COLOURING. A light old waterstain to the top margin outside the image. A typical Venetian colour plate book found under various titles.

First edition. Oblong folio album with original cloth-backed blue boards and printed decoration to upper cover. A very good copy, with slight damp staining to the front panel and foxing to the plate mounts, a couple of plates affected by areas of staining, though remaining mainly bright and clear. The remainder of the plates are extremely bright and evocative. Hand-coloured lithographed title page, incorporating a view of Piazza San Marco, and twelve further hand-coloured lithographed plates heightened with gum arabic and printed by Kirchmayr or Lefevre after Cecchini, Pividor and Viola. A fine series of views of Venice by the Venetian artists Giovanni-Battista Cecchini (1804-79), Giovanni Pividor (d. 1872) and Tommaso Viola (b. c. 1810). The lithograph plates are finely printed by Léfevre each within a double blue lined border and with the delicate hand-colouring heightened with gum arabic.
