Spine and boards also a little grubby with a few small stains and marks. Greyed top and foredge. Mild foxing to endpapers otherwise contents are generally good and unmarked.

Engraved illustration of A Corn Celsus (Celsi) as frontispiece and an illustration on Page 599. Scattered foxing with some age-toning. 777 Pages. Condition: Very good for its age. Binding: Hardcover. Speckled boards with leather spine and corners. Edge-wear with bumping and fraying to corners and top edge of spine. Abrasions and a few marks to covers. Evidence of insect damage to top edge of rear board.

Chr.; um 50) war einer der wichtigsten Medizinschriftsteller seiner Zeit. Er war der erste, der zahlreiche medizinische Ausdrücke aus dem Griechischen ins Lateinische übersetzte. Celsus galt neben Galen als einer der wichtigsten Quellen für medizinische Erkenntnisse im Mittelalter.
