Hardcover. 357pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Red cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title against a black ink stamped background on the spine, and Traven's embossed name and initial on the front board. Black endsheets. Good. The edges of the spine and covers are gently rubbed, and the covers are a little bit warped. The top edge of the text block is darkened, and there are multiple very tiny dot-like stains on the fore and bottom edge of the text block. The spine is rolled. Pages 194 and 195 have light stains. The pages are browned. Treverton 22, Recknagel 434. According to the B. Traven bibliographer, E. R. Hagemann, Traven's work has been published in twenty-one languages since April 1926 when his first novel was published in Germany.
