Le carton porte le cachet de l'architecte-collectionneur Frans Baeckelmans. Cet architecte Anversois ( 1835 - 1896 ) construisait avec son frère Louis l'ancien Palais de Justice d'Anvers dans un style neo-renaissance, inspiré sur Le Louvre. Dans sa collection il avait grand nombre de photos d'époque de Baldus et de Durendelle.
