First Edition
Three-Quarter Leather. Condition: Good. Folding maps (illustrator). First American Edition. First, the bad news - this is an ex-library copy with a spine label and stamps on the half-title and title pages, another previous owner's stamps and an unsightly ink signature at the top of the title page; the spine is rubbed and the cloth separating from the leather. Now, the good - the book is RARE and the library is The Yokohama Yacht Club and the owner was a Westerner living in Tokyo. Three of the four maps are in excellent condition, and the one that isn't has some old tape repairs that have browned with age. An intriguing volume for all its faults.
