Bella encuadernación en plena piel de época con nervios, doble tejuelo, lomera cuajada, ruedas en los planos y en los cantos, cortes tintados. ( Edición original de esta obra mayor en la historia de la navegación, debida a Joseph-Bernard Chabert (1724-1805). La obra fue tenida en alta estima por la Academia francesa de las Ciencias, y recomendada como un modelo de navegación para los futuros marineros. La primera parte relata el viaje del autor de Brest en Louisburg así como cuatro expediciones, mientras que la 2ª parte es el informe de sus observaciones astronómicas en el mar. Estas observaciones, y las búsquedas de Chabert en astronomía, particularmente precisas hasta según los criterios actuales, confieren sobre esta relación su gran valor científico). (51926).
