Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. The corrugated gravel road known officially as Tanzania Route B144 provides a bone-jarring, teeth-rattling, bladder-testing connection between two of the great wonders of Africa. At its eastern end stands the massive green slopes of Ngorongoro Crater, a giant caldera, more than ten miles wide, formed by the collapse of one of the many extinct volcanos of the Great Rift Valley and home to more than 25,000 large mammals. To the west lays the vast plains of the Serengeti, our destination on a cloudless postcard- perfect day in 1968. My family and I were on the way to address the student body of the International Baptist Seminary in Arusha, Tanzania, as part of a plan between me and Dr. Lorne Brown, a medical missionary in Kisumu, Kenya. Lorne had made arrangements for me to talk to the students about; "TRANSFORMATION ADVENTURES" After my talk, we stayed for another week. It was during chats with faculty that I began to put the story together. The Seminary was about 10 miles from Mount Kilimanjaro on the road to Mombasa, Kenya and close to the railroad that runs from the port at Mombasa to the border of Uganda. My curiosity about the facts was satisfied from books in the Wake Forest University library. The rest was creative imagination. And that's the truth. This item is printed on demand. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Discovering and Developing the Gifts Every Child Already PossessesEvery child is born with unique talents, abilities, and attributes. The challenge is helping them discover and develop those gifts into a life of purpose, fulfillment, and success. In The Abundance Workbook, E. Ted Chandler, MD, FACP, combines a lifetime of personal experience, medical knowledge, and practical wisdom to provide parents, grandparents, teachers, counselors, and mentors with a powerful guide for helping children reach their full potential.Dr. Chandler's journey began under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Orphaned at the age of three and raised alongside hundreds of other children, he witnessed firsthand how young people from similar backgrounds could follow vastly different paths in life. Some became teachers, physicians, attorneys, college presidents, and business leaders. Those experiences sparked a lifelong fascination with human potential and the factors that help individuals thrive. As a physician and healthcare innovator, Dr. Chandler spent decades helping people improve their health, well-being, and quality of life. Through his work, he became convinced that every child possesses innate strengths and abilities that, when properly recognized and nurtured, can lead to extraordinary outcomes. The Abundance Workbook provides practical tools and insights to help adults identify a child's natural inclinations, encourage confidence, strengthen character, develop resilience, and guide young people toward meaningful careers, vocations, and life paths. Drawing upon both science and experience, Dr. Chandler explains how children learn, grow, and flourish while offering actionable strategies that parents can begin using immediately.More than a parenting resource, this book is a roadmap for recognizing potential, cultivating purpose, and creating opportunities for lifelong success. It challenges conventional approaches to child development by focusing on the unique gifts already present within every child rather than attempting to force them into predefined expectations.Whether you are raising a young child, mentoring a teenager, educating students, or seeking a deeper understanding of human potential, The Abundance Workbook offers practical guidance, timeless wisdom, and inspiring encouragement.Because every child is fearfully and wonderfully made. When their gifts are discovered, nurtured, and developed, abundance follows.Help the children in your life discover who they are, what they do best, and the extraordinary future that may already be waiting within them.
