Signed
No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Fine. Typed letter signed (7 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch) by Julia Chandler and dated 15 March 1923. On company stationery with original envelope, also an earlier related letter. Selwyn & Company was a major producer of plays in New York from about 1912 to 1924. It was owned by the brothers Archibald and Edgar Selwyn who were widely accomplished in the theater world including working with Samuel Goldwyn to form Goldwyn Pictures Corporation in 1916, later to become MGM. In this note to Mr. L.R. Berliner, Julia Chandler of Selwyn & Co. writes that if Berliner will drop her a note she will be glad to furnish Berliner tickets to Selwyn plays. Berliner (1881-1969) sometimes worked as a correspondent for trade publications. The earlier letter from Mrs. Chandler's assistant to Berliner is on the same subject. Signed by Author(s).
