In California and other areas of the west, it became necessary hold large rabbit drives to protect the new orchards, vineyards, and fields. The idea of driving rabbits into corrals where they could be easily killed apparently had origins in native American societies. A unique look at California cultural history. Uncommon in original edition, without library markings.
