Riche iconographie ! --- C'est une belle équipe que forment ces trois passionnés que sont Robert Chappelet, René Clavaud et Jacques Perenon, assistés par une pléiade d'amateurs et collectionneurs parmi lesquels Adrien Gondin, François Collardeau, Louis C…ourbouleix, Philippe Lépine, Francis Perenon et Pierre et Nicolas Virot. Alors que le tramway LEA / T3 est plébiscité par des milliers d'usagers quotidiens et que l'on se prépare à mettre en service la desserte "RhônExpress" de l'aéroport Saint Exupéry, nos auteurs se sont penchés sur l'histoire de ces réalisations. Ils ont aussi remonté le temps et nous font découvrir deux anciennes lignes de l'OTL qui desservait l'est lyonnais, les 16 et 17. La ligne 16 reliait Lyon à La Balme et à Crémieu. Avec ses 60 kilomètres, elle fut longtemps la plus longue ligne de tramways de France. Autre originalité, son mode de traction électrique par courant alternatif monophasé, une technique à l'avant-garde du progrès au début du XXe siècle. La ligne 17, située sur la rive droite du Rhône, longue de 21 km, desservait de Lyon à Montluel une succession de gros bourgs, établis entre le fleuve et le contrefort du plateau des Dombes. Comme la ligne 16, elle fut exploitée en courant monophasé de 1909 à 1915. Un ouvrage de 264 pages, riche de plus de 370 illustrations (photos anciennes et actuelles, plans, schémas, horaires), essentiellement en couleurs. Ce livre va enchanter tous les amateurs de transports publics et plus particulièrement ceux de l'histoire lyonnaise. 24x32 cm. 263 p. Cartonnage éditeur. Bon état. Intérieur en bon état. in-folio.
