Just touches of wear to extremities wrappers ever so lightly soiled, 1 cm. split at top of spine with no loss, corners square and flat, no rust on the staples, all photos in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. "The Great Salt Lake Cut-Off is a railway line of the Southern Pacific laid in an old lake bed from Lucin to Ogden, UJtah, one hundred and three miles. Part of this lake bed is dry. Part is under water. The part under water is Great Salt Lake." [from p.1] Begun in June, 1902 the cut-off was completed in November, 1903 at a cost of $4.5M. The Great Salt Lake Cut-Off is a railroad engineering marvel.
