Condition: Fair. No Edition Stated. 120 pages. No dust jacket. Brown boards with black lettering. Illustrated by E. J. Detmold. Colour illustrations throughout. Notable foxing and tanning to endpapers and page edges. Both hinges cracked with netting visible, thus the boards are slack. Some gutter cracking. Moderate wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners, with splitting to spine ends. Notable scuffing, staining and marking to boards.

Condition: Very Good. Detmold, Edward Julius (illustrator). A collection of descriptions of animals of the farmyard and woodland. Large quarto. Orange cloth-covered boards. Dark blue lettering and decoration on front cover and spine. Eleven plates, each inside a grey-green border. One plate to illustrate each animal described. First plate ("The Cat") doubles as frontispiece. Large print text. Light wear to covers and spine. Small scrape at base of spine. Spine strip sunned. Boards unevenly faded at edges. Faint pencilled dedication ('With love to Jennifer from Nan') at top corner of front pastedown. Very good internally, with no marks and no foxing.

Half moss-green cloth and pictorial paper-covered boards with a circular color plate on the front cover. Illustrated with 19 fine full-page color plates after paintings by Edward Detmold. Two light spots on the front cover, else a fine, clean copy, preserved in a very good DUST JACKET which has loss and a small stain at the lower spine tip, but which is otherwise a near-fine example.
